This recently renovated property on Shoreditch High Street called for a contemporary garden design.  Above all, the clients, young professionals who spend a large proportion of the year traveling, wanted any design to be low maintenance and hard wearing.

The design for the entrance had to incorporate the existing decking material that was re-worked to become a subtle but attractive feature while the hard landscaping was softened with low maintenance planting.

On the upstairs balcony and terrace a fresh, contemporary design was developed.  Slim powder coated planters filled with ornamental grasses and a sprinkling of perennial colour soften the view from the kitchen/living room.  A light composite decking requiring very little maintenance and huge durability was introduced for the narrow stretch of balcony and a section of low maintenance turf installed on the side terrace.  Here, a natural and striking screen of Bamboo was established to provide privacy from the flats behind and bespoke seating crafted to make the most of the afternoon sun.
